Koko Head Elementary Traffic Cone Donation

Published by Webmaster on

The Hawaii Kai Lions Club purchased and donated twenty five traffic cones to Koko Head Elementary School. Lions Bob Kane and Ken Nishibun made the presentation December 14, 2010 to Principal Loretta Yee and Student Activity Deanne Daniel.

The cones will be distributed to each class and will be used for emergency evacuations where classes need to vacate the classrooms and remain on the open ball field nearby until the all-clear sign is given. Each class will cluster around their own cone which will be imprinted with their class number.

Principal Yee mentioned that she is organizing an emergency kit for all classes and the cones are a very important component of those kits. She extends her warmest appreciation for this donation which will benefit approximately 300 students, faculty, and staff of Koko Head School.
